Anti-Ragging Committee (ARC)
At MJCOE, we are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all our students, where they can pursue their academic goals without fear or intimidation. To achieve this, we have established an Anti-Ragging Committee (ARC) that works tirelessly in alignment with university guidelines to prevent and address instances of ragging, ensuring a respectful and harmonious campus culture.
Objectives
- Creating Awareness: To educate and sensitize the college community about the ill effects of ragging and promote a culture of respect and empathy.
- Prevention and Prohibition: To implement and enforce strict anti-ragging policies and regulations to prevent and prohibit ragging on campus.
- Support and Redressal: To provide a safe, confidential, and supportive platform for victims of ragging to report incidents and ensure prompt redressal.
- Monitoring & Surveillance: Ensure campus vigilance through inspections and confidential reporting channels.
- Grievance Redressal: Establish a swift and impartial mechanism to address complaints and support affected students.
Activities
- Conducting informative sessions to sensitize students, faculty, and staff about anti-ragging policies and initiatives.
- Organizing workshops, seminars, and events to promote a culture of respect and empathy
- Setting up a dedicated helpline and online portal for anonymous reporting.
- Conducting regular surprise checks in hostels and campus zones.
- Ensuring adherence to anti-ragging laws set by governing authorities.
- Providing emotional and psychological support for victims.
