Women’s Day Celebration

Women’s Day is observed on 8th March, every year to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Knowing that “Women are the largest untapped reservoir of talents” we organized an impressive carnival on this day in our College.

Dr.P.Thiruselvi, Assistant Professor welcomed the gathering; and the programme was initiated with a special address on Role of Women in our society, by Principal Dr.R.Ravi.

He elucidated the vital and multiple roles of women in her family and upbringing children into good citizens. He also appreciated the contribution of women in teaching, health and many other arenas.

Students have participated in various events like singing, oratory, dance and poem recitation. The efforts taken by them and the way they showed cast their talents are highly commendable.

Competitions like Flameless Cooking, Poster Making and Rangoli were conducted. Students have exhibited their Culinary, Creativity and Artistic Skills ideally.  They proved that there is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.

Prizes were distributed to the winners and the programme was concluded with the Vote of Thanks by R.Keerthana, I Year B.Ed.
