The Thirukkural World Record Conference was successfully held on January 25, 2025, in a collaborative effort between MJCOE and Aran International Tamil Studies E-Newspaper World Thirukkural Association. The conference commenced with Tamilthai Vaazhthu by B.Ed. students and Thirukkural Vaazhthu by Dr. Revathy K, Assistant Professor, MJCOE, setting the tone for a day filled with insightful discussions and presentations. Dr. T. Kaleeswari, Assistant Professor, MJCAS, warmly welcomed the gathering, followed by the keynote address delivered by Dr. R. Ravi, Deputy CEO-MJC & Principal, MJCOE. Dr. Shalini Backiyam Kamala, MJCAS-Principal, presented a special address, further enriching the event. A major highlight of the conference was the release of the book “Thiruvalluvar Koorum Vaazhvum Thaalzhvum,” a compilation of research articles contributed by Tamil researchers and activists. The book was released by Dr. R. Ravi and received by Dr. Shalini Backiyam Kamala. The contributors then presented readings of their respective research articles, providing a deeper understanding of Thirukkural’s significance. Mrs. R. Sheela, Assistant Professor, MJCOE, delivered a further link address, followed by a vote of thanks by Mrs. P. Thiruselvi, Assistant Professor, MJCOE, who expressed gratitude to the attendees for making the event a grand success. The conference concluded with the National Anthem, marking the end of a memorable and enriching event that celebrated the timeless literary heritage of Thirukkural. |
