|ROLE OF NCTE

- Setting Standards: NCTE establishes standards and guidelines for teacher education programs, infrastructure, faculty qualifications, and other aspects to maintain quality and relevance in teacher preparation.
- Regulation and Monitoring: NCTE regulates and monitors teacher education institutions to ensure compliance with the prescribed norms and standards. It conducts inspections and assessments of TEIs to assess their infrastructure, faculty, and academic programs.
