ROLE OF IQAC
The primary functions of an IQAC include:
- Development and Application of Quality Benchmarks: Establishing benchmarks and parameters for academic and administrative activities to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly monitoring and evaluating the performance of various departments, programs, and processes against set benchmarks.
- Quality Improvement Initiatives: Initiating and overseeing measures for continuous quality improvement, including faculty development programs, infrastructure enhancement, and curriculum revision.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of all quality-related activities and preparing reports for internal assessment and external accreditation.
- Coordination with Accreditation Bodies: Interacting with accrediting agencies and regulatory bodies to facilitate the accreditation process and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Promotion of Best Practices: Identifying and disseminating best practices in teaching, learning, research, and administration across the institution.
