In celebration of World Environment Day on June 5, 2024, first-year B.Ed students from the 2023-2025 batch at Michael Job Memorial College of Education for Women enthusiastically participated in an Environmental Awareness Programme organized by the NSS. The event commenced with a warm Welcome Address by Joysi.D of 1st B.Ed, followed by an inspiring Guest of Honour speech by the esteemed Principal, Dr. R. Ravi. Assistant Professor Dr. Gokila Vani then delivered a motivating felicitation. The program featured engaging activities including a detailed speech on environmental awareness by Sheela Shankari of I B.Ed, a poignant environmental poem recited by Nivetha.K, and a thought-provoking role-play on ‘save environment’ performed by the students. The event also showcased a melodious song rendition by Atlas Tamilselvi.S and her team. Anniesherlin.A expressed gratitude in a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, concluding with a collective rendition of the National Anthem. The event not only educated but also inspired the participants to actively contribute towards environmental conservation and sustainability.
