IQAC stands for Internal Quality Assurance Cell. It is a quality assurance mechanism in educational institutions, particularly in higher education, aimed at continuously monitoring and enhancing the quality of academic and administrative processes. The IQAC is typically constituted as per guidelines provided by accrediting bodies or regulatory authorities in different countries.
IQAC serves as the backbone of quality enhancement and assurance at our institution and is committed to fostering a culture of excellence in education. Established as part of the institution’s pursuit of continuous improvement, IQAC acts as the driving force behind quality enhancement in all our academic and administrative processes.
The primary purpose of IQAC is to create an effective mechanism that ensures systematic efforts toward achieving the institution’s goals of academic excellence and holistic development and to foster a culture of sustained quality improvement and innovation, ensuring that aspiring educators are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values to lead and inspire in the field of education
Objectives of IQAC
- Development and Application of Quality Benchmarks: Establishing benchmarks and parameters for academic and administrative activities to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly monitoring and evaluating the performance of various departments, programs, and processes against set benchmarks.
- Promotion of Best Practices: Identifying, adopting and disseminating best practices in teaching, learning, research, and administration across the institution.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with various stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and industry, to gather feedback and incorporate their perspectives into quality enhancement efforts.
- Teaching Excellence: Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment that promotes innovative teaching methodologies.
- Faculty Development: Supporting ongoing faculty development programs to upgrade their teaching and research capabilities.
