Recognizing the importance of scholarly inquiry and innovation in the field of education, Michael Job Memorial College of Education for Women has established the Research Center in Education with the objective of promoting academic excellence and meaningful research contributions.

The Center aims to foster interdisciplinary, innovative, and socially relevant research that contributes to educational development at local, national, and global levels. It provides a dynamic platform for conducting research in various branches of education and allied disciplines, with special emphasis on emerging areas such as Educational Technology, Artificial Intelligence in Education, Inclusive Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum Development, Teacher Education, Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, and Policy Studies.

The Research Center encourages collaborative research initiatives with universities, educational institutions, and organizations to strengthen knowledge creation and dissemination. It supports evidence-based practices, innovative teaching-learning methodologies, and community-oriented research that addresses contemporary educational challenges. The Center also facilitates research publications, academic conferences, workshops, faculty development programmes, and research training activities to enhance scholarly competencies among researchers.

Eligibility for Admission to Ph.D. Programme in Education

  1. A Post Graduate Degree (M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. in any subject) along with a Post Graduate Degree in Education (M.Ed.) from a recognized university with the prescribed percentage of marks as per Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University norms.
  2. Candidates should qualify in the Common Eligibility Test conducted by Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University for admission to the Ph.D. Programme.
  3. Candidates who have qualified in NET / SET / M.Phil.(Education) are exempted from appearing for the Common Eligibility Test conducted by TNTEU, as per university regulations.
  4. Admission procedures shall be governed by the Ph.D. Regulations and guidelines prescribed by Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University from time to time.
