MJMCOE was founded in 2004 with a simple conviction: if you want to educate the girl child, you must first train the women who will teach her.
MJMCOE is part of the Michael & John Job Centre of Education that has been established with a vision to empower the girl child through education. The College of Education grew out of this vision and remains bound to it.
For over two decades, MJMCOE has trained women to become capable, compassionate teachers. Our programmes are recognised by NCTE, affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, and accredited by NAAC. Students learn in smart- board classrooms from experienced faculty, on a safe, campus with a fee structure kept below most comparable colleges, because this institution exists to serve, not to profit.
We measure our success in a single way: by the teachers who leave this campus and the children they go on to teach. A graduate of MJMCOE does not merely hold a degree in education, she carries forward a mission that began with one question: what happens when a girl is given the chance to learn?
