Observance of Environment Day 2025

The World Environment Day celebration was held with great enthusiasm on June 5 at 10:30 a.m. in the college premises, centered around the theme “Solutions to Plastic Pollution”, emphasizing the urgent need to eliminate plastic waste and preserve natural resources. The program commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by a soulful prayer song by first-year B.Ed. students, setting a serene and positive tone for the event. Dr. R. Ravi, Deputy CEO of MJC and Principal-MJCOE, delivered an inspiring guest address, highlighting the importance of environmental responsibility and the role of educators and students in fostering sustainable practices. Students actively participated in engaging activities, including speeches and a Tamil Kavithai (poem) focused on environmental awareness. A significant highlight of the event was the planting of saplings within the campus, symbolizing the institution’s commitment to a greener future. To promote natural and healthy refreshments, sugarcane juice was distributed to all attendees, reinforcing the theme of sustainability. The program concluded with the National Anthem, instilling a sense of unity and pride among all present, marking the successful culmination of the celebration.
