The State Level Art Fest 2024 has been organized on 21.11.2024 by Kasturi College of Education, Coimbatore, in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Drama and Folk Artists Welfare Association and Coimbatore District Actors Association commemorating and celebrating their 10th anniversary, highlighting a decade of nurturing artistic excellence, cultural enrichment, and community engagement and showcasing the associations’ enduring commitment to promoting various performing art forms. The festival had a formal inauguration ceremony led by the renowned actor Thiru. Radharavi and the key representatives from the Coimbatore District Actors Association. The State Level Art Fest 2024 drew a talented pool of around 300 students from various colleges of education statewide showcasing their artistic skills. The events encompassed music, dance, drama, monoacting, mimcry, Tamil elocution and Thirukkural recitation competitions. Under the guidance and encouragement of Dr. Revathy K., Assistant Professor in Education, a delegate of eight students from MJCOE participated in Tamil elocution, Thirukkural recitation, solo song and group dance (Folk). Thaiyalnayakikarthika C, first year B.Ed., secured third prize in Thirukkural Recitation and Jayalakshmi N, first year B.Ed., secured third prize in Monoacting. The State Level Art Fest 2024 provided an excellent platform for MJCOE students to exhibit their creativity, talent, and teamwork. The event helped foster camaraderie and exchange of ideas among participants from diverse backgrounds. The students’ outstanding performance was a testament to the college’s commitment to nurturing artistic expression and holistic development. |
