MJCOE successfully organized an Educational Awareness Program on 18th June 2024, in Muthugounden Pudur village, with the theme “Education for Women”. The program aimed to promote education as a tool for empowering rural women and girls and to emphasize the significance of education in transforming lives. The program included interactive sessions, led by MJCOE faculty members and students, focusing on women’s education, empowerment, and the challenges faced by rural women.

The event yielded positive outcomes, including increased awareness about women’s education, encouragement for villagers to support girls’ education, and identification of potential beneficiaries for future educational initiatives. Participants praised the program, stating it was “inspiring” and “motivating”. Local educators expressed gratitude for the valuable information shared. In line with our commitment to promoting education for all, our students embarked on a survey to investigate the educational status of girl children in underprivileged communities, identifying areas for intervention. MJCOE’s commitment to promoting education for women was reaffirmed, with plans for sustained community engagement and education initiatives.
