Webinar on “Lifelong Learning”

On 8th April 2022, the Department of English, Michael Job Memorial College of Education for Women has organised a webinar on “Lifelong Learning”. It was organised and headed by Dr.P.Thiruselvi, Assistant Professor.

      The objective of the webinar was to imbibe the significance of Lifelong Learning. It was conducted virtually through Google Meet.The speaker was Mr.Nitin Suresh, Brand Manager, Malayala Manorama, Kerala.

The session started with the Welcome address, delivered by Ms.K.Lavanya from II-B.Ed. Mrs.Deepthi Krishna Das from I-B.Ed has introduced the speaker. Special address was delivered by our respected Principal, Dr.R.Ravi. He gave an introduction about lifelong learning and its significance.

       Mr.Nitin Suresh, the guest speaker has presented a complete overview of Lifelong Learning. He elucidated about the Education in Past and the Current scenario. He portrayed another dimension of learning and explained with many illustrations.

       He elaborated Delors Report and the Four Pillars of Learning. He correlated Pedagogy with Heutagogy and how they function to discover oneself through lifelong learning. He also presented the comparison between Traditional Learning and Lifelong Learning.

       The session was very interactive as the participants asked questions and cleared their doubts. The session ended up with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms.Juliet Princia from II-B.Ed.
