As a curtain raiser, Department of English, Michael Job Memorial College of Education for Women has organised a Webinar on Career Opportunities in E-learning Companies for Pre-service and In-service Teachers for the students of B.Ed and M. Ed Course on 22.11.2021 at 2:00 p.m through Google Meet.
E-learning is already huge and is moving to revolutionise the educational sector as per the needs of today’s students. Indeed, the future of e-learning looks very promising; and opportunities are in abundance for students who are willing to learn new things online.
Initially, the Resource Person, Principal, faculty members and students were welcomed by Dr.P.Thiruselvi, Assistant Professor, MJCOE followed by a special address by our respected Principal Dr.R.Ravi.
The Resource Person was Dr. M. Parthasarathy, Associate Professor, Department of Educational Technology, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore-641046, who is an E-Learning educator and researcher specialized in Web Based Learning environments. He presented an excellent, clear lecture on instructional design, which is the process by which learning products and experiences are designed, developed, and delivered.
A clear illustration on creating Story boards and the usage of knowledge in designing a course material was extremely helpful for the students. Career positions as E-Learning Analyst, E-Learning Designer and E-Learning Evaluator were clearly explained to the students.
Students have acquainted knowledge on instructional design, its need and importance. The webinar also threw light on the knowledge and skills required to become an instructional designer in E-Learning field.

The webinar was a very interactive one and assuredly, it will make our students to improve their ability to research, ability to present the work precisely and redesign their instruction.
