Student Clubs

In a fast changing world such as ours; clubs play a vital role in bringing people together though common interest. At MJCOE, we have various clubs that help bring awareness of different resources and trendy breakthroughs in the field of education; further, these clubs carry out diverse activities to improve creativity, communication skills, leadership qualities and team spirit.

Seminars and Conferences

Good educators always engage their students in lifelong learning. Our college has taken great strides in widening the academic network by organising National and International Seminars, Workshops and Conferences. This enables our faculty members and student teachers to amplify their awareness of new trends and knowledge in the field of teacher education. The organised events help faculty members and student teachers with skills of communication and presentation, further; they allow them to go beyond the textbook and classrooms to advance their intellectual growth.

Dance and Yoga

As Dance is the joy of movement and the heart of life, it is woven into our curriculum to enable students to improve their physical and mental health. Dance provides a refreshing counterbalance to academics and is also acts a platform to showcase talent of the students. Dance sessions at MJCOE try to focus on the different idea of school students expressed through dance, to allow teachers to understand their students in a different way.

TED Talks

With the intention of keeping faculty members updated with new information, we organise special viewings of TED talks once a week wherein latest topics and ideas spoken at TED (stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design) are discussed. In this session, we also involve staff members and students from Michael Job College of Arts & Science and Michael Job Matriculation and Higher Secondary School to diversify and enrich our discussion on the talk.

Recruitment

In an increasingly complex world, wherein access to information is available in the click of a mouse, the challenges of teaching have changed. The newer generations are digitally updated and therefore have access to more information at a much earlier age than the previous generations. This has led to a generation of children that are more self-aware, intelligent but at the same time more susceptible to being overwhelmed and anxious about keeping up with a fast life. Therefore the approach to teach these children needs to be dynamic, and that is what MJCOE offers and trains teachers to be. Further, students of MJCOE are: Well trained: The intelligently designed curriculum and the thorough evaluative components at MJCOE have produced some of the best teachers in the state. They come out of the programme more than ready to meet the challenges of teaching in the 21st century, and therefore make for excellent candidates for recruitment. Responsible: MJCOE pays special emphasis on the responsibility each teacher needs to take of inculcating in their students values of honesty, punctuality and respect for humanity. Further, teachers are trained to be compassionate and respectful towards each and every student’s learning aptitude. Holistic Approach: The holistic approach of value-based education, scientific and physical training leads to all rounder development of the personality of all students.
