The Bachelor of Education Programme at MJCOE is a two-year programme divided into 200 working days each year excluding the period of examination and admission; it is designed to provide its students the best tools and training to meet the challenges of the 21st century. The course is designed in a holistic manner so as to train the teachers to cater to a very diverse set of needs. The curriculum focuses on three major areas :
Pedagogical Theories from Psychological, Sociological and Philosophical contexts Teaching Methods for Languages, Sciences, Commerce, Mathematics, Computer Sciences Soft skills like critical observation, communication, collaboration etc.

Medium of Instruction
Students have the option of choosing the preferred medium of instruction as either English or Tamil (at the time of admission).
Attendance
Each student should have 85% or 170 days of attendance, failing which they will not be permitted to appear for the B.Ed degree examination (both written and practical examination). However, in case of medical emergencies, attendance up to 75% will be accepted after getting condonation of attendance, adhering to the norms of Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.
